Belt conveyor runs high-speed, stable, low noise,

12th November 2021

Belt conveyors, also known as belt conveyors, are widely used in household appliances, electronics, electrical appliances, machinery, tobacco, injection molding, post and telecommunications, printing, food and other industries, assembling, testing, debugging, packaging and transportation of objects.

Line conveying can be selected according to process requirements: ordinary continuous operation, rhythm operation, variable speed operation and other control methods; line body is selected according to local conditions: linear, curved, slope and other line-type conveying equipment includes: belt conveyor, also called belt type Conveyors or belt conveyors, etc., are economical logistics conveying equipment that is indispensable for forming a rhythmic assembly line. Belt conveyors can be divided into heavy belt conveyors such as mining belt conveyors according to their conveying capacity, and light belt conveyors such as those used in electronic plastics, food, light industry, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The belt conveyor has strong conveying capacity, long conveying distance, simple structure and easy maintenance, and can conveniently implement programmed control and automatic operation. The continuous or intermittent movement of the conveyor belt is used to transport articles under 100KG or powdery or granular articles. It runs at high speed, smoothly, with low noise, and can be transported up and down.

Belt conveyor is a friction-driven machine that transports materials in a continuous manner. It is mainly composed of frame, conveyor belt, roller, roller, tensioning device, transmission device, etc. It can form a material conveying process on a certain conveying line from the initial feeding point to the final unloading point. It can carry out the transportation of broken materials and the transportation of finished items. In addition to pure material transportation, it can also be matched with the requirements of the technological process in the production process of various industrial enterprises to form a rhythmic assembly line.

Belt conveyors are also called belt conveyors. The conveyor belt moves according to the principle of friction transmission. It is suitable for conveying easy-to-pick powdery, granular, and small pieces of low-abrasive materials and bagged materials, such as coal, gravel, Sand, cement, fertilizer, grain, etc. The belt conveyor can be used in the ambient temperature range of -20°C to +40°C, and the temperature of the delivered material is less than 60°C. The captain and assembly form can be determined according to user requirements, and the drive can be an electric drum or a drive device with a drive frame.

Transmission principle

⑴The traction of the belt conveyor is transmitted by the friction between the drive roller and the belt. Therefore, the belt must be tightened with a tensioning device to make the belt have a certain initial tension at the separation of the transfer roller.

⑵The tape runs on the rollers together with the cargo. The tape is both a traction mechanism and a load-bearing mechanism. There is no relative movement between the cargo load and the tape, which eliminates the frictional resistance between the tape and the cargo load during operation. Because the roller is equipped with rolling bearings, there is rolling friction between the tape and the roller, so the running resistance is greatly reduced, thereby reducing the power consumption and increasing the transportation distance. For a belt conveyor, the traction transmission capacity is determined by the tension of the belt, the wrapping angle of the belt on the drive roller, and the coefficient of friction between the belt and the drive roller. It is necessary to ensure that the belt of the belt conveyor does not slip on the drive roller and operates normally. In production practice, corresponding measures must be taken according to different situations. Improving the transmission capacity of traction can start from the following aspects:

⑴Increase the tension (initial tension). When the belt conveyor is in operation, the belt will stretch, causing the traction to drop. Therefore, according to the situation, the belt should be properly tightened by a tensioning device to increase the tension of the belt to increase the traction.

⑵Increase the friction coefficient. The specific measures are: to protect the wood lining or rubber liner covered on the transmission drum to increase the friction coefficient, on the other hand, to reduce the water and coal to prevent the friction coefficient from decreasing.

⑶ Increase the wrap angle. Due to poor working conditions and large traction required for underground belt conveyors, double drum drives are often used to increase the wrap angle.

working principle

The belt conveyor is mainly composed of two end rollers and a closed conveyor belt tightly sleeved on them [1]. The roller that drives the conveyor belt to rotate is called the driving roller (transmission roller); the other roller that only changes the direction of the conveyor belt is called the reversing roller. The driving roller is driven by a motor through a reducer, and the conveyor belt is dragged by the friction between the driving roller and the conveyor belt. Drive rollers are generally installed at the discharge end to increase traction and facilitate dragging. The material is fed from the feeding end, falls on the rotating conveyor belt, and is driven by the friction of the conveyor belt to be transported to the discharge end for discharge.

Scope of application

It can be used for horizontal transportation or inclined transportation, and it is very convenient to use. It is widely used in various modern industrial enterprises, such as: underground tunnels in mines, mine surface transportation systems, open-pit mining sites and concentrators. According to the requirements of the conveying process, it can be conveyed by a single unit, or composed of multiple units or combined with other conveying equipment to form a horizontal or inclined conveying system to meet the needs of different layout forms of operation lines.

Features

Belt conveyor is the most ideal high-efficiency continuous transportation equipment for coal mines. Compared with other transportation equipment (such as locomotives), it has the advantages of long transportation distance, large transportation volume, continuous transportation, etc., and it is reliable in operation and easy to realize automation and centralization. Control, especially for high-yield and high-efficiency mines, belt conveyors have become the key equipment of coal mining mechatronics technology and equipment.

The main feature of the belt conveyor is that the machine body can be easily extended and contracted. It is equipped with a belt storage bin. The tail of the machine can be extended or shortened with the advancement of the coal mining face. It has a compact structure and can be directly laid on the roadway floor without a foundation. The frame is light and easy to disassemble and assemble. When the transport capacity and transport distance are large, an intermediate drive device can be equipped to meet the requirements. According to the requirements of the conveying process, it can be conveyed by a single machine, or multiple units can be combined with a horizontal or inclined conveying system to convey materials.

Belt conveyors are widely used in metallurgy, coal, transportation, hydropower, chemical and other sectors because of its advantages such as large conveying capacity, simple structure, convenient maintenance, low cost, and strong versatility.

Belt conveyors are also used in building materials, electric power, light industry, food, ports, ships and other sectors.
